Wayne Taylor, Managing Director
Wayne is the driving force behind Space Zero, having founded the company alongside Phillip Gardner in September 2009. With a strong background in managing award-winning design consultancies, Wayne has an impressive record of successfully leading large scale, multi-million pound blue chip projects from initial concept through to completion.
Over 27 years in this sector has provided Wayne with expert knowledge of the interior architecture and design market, Wayne has spoken at two international conferences and is working closely with the team to grow the Space Zero brand in the Middle East and Asia.
Space Zero has completed over 200 education projects on all types of institutions - from kindergartens to universities - and on all types of frameworks. Using this vast experience and knowledge, Wayne has recently written the chapter on how interior design can enhance the learning environment in the RIBA book, Future Schools: Innovative Design for Existing and New Buildings published May 2015.
Wayne is extremely passionate about his business and ensuring it continually evolves to keep up with clients’ changing requirements and aspirations. A firm believer in the benefits of technology, Wayne has invested considerable resources in training his team in BIM and emerging systems, cementing Space Zero as a genuine market leader in this area. This unbeatable technical knowledge, along with the creativity of the team, enables Space Zero to create spaces that are exciting, intelligent, sustainable, relevant and effective.
When he is not steering the ship at Space Zero, Wayne sits on the board of Governors at Park High School and also provides sponsorship for educating children in less fortunate countries. As a keen sportsman and in particular a fan of football, Wayne is life long Burnley Football Club supporter. In 2013 he achieved the FA Level 1 Football Coaching Badge, which has enabled him to coach and manage several age groups. Currently, he coaches an U16’s team, which is also sponsored by Space Zero.
